Description
UCOPLAST -WR is a low cost highly efficient Platiciser based on processed;
lignosulfonates. It is chloride free. It increases workability of concrete mixes by its powerful
deflocculating and dispersing effect on the cement particles. This increase in
workability can be utilised to produce high workability concrete or to enable
significant reductions in the free water contents.
Properties
UCOPLAST -WR can be incorporated in concrete to give following benefits.
- Increased workability: UCOPLAST - WR
improves workability without increase of water content to produce mixes which are more readily placed and compacted to save time and labour and also produces denser concrete
with reduced permeability.
- Water Reducer: By keeping the
workability of concrete mix the same, a significant reduction in the quantity of
gauging water added can be achieved by the incorporation of UCOPLAST
-WR giving higher strength and more durable concrete.
- Cement Saver: It is possible to produce lower cost corresponding mixes at lower cement contents with UCOPLAST - WR (5 to 10 % reduction for nominal 300 kg. /
m3 mix)

Directions for Use
UCOPLAST -WR should be added preferably with the gauging water. The concrete should be then mixed for sufficient lime to ensure
thorough dispersion. The dosage rate is 100 ml to 250 ml / 50 Kg. cement. The
optimum dosage should be determined by site trials.
Over Dosing
Dosing up to 300 ml UCOPLAST-WR has no deleterious effect but above this
level some retardation of the cure and reduction in strength will occur.
Storage Life
Storage life of UCOPLAST-WR is one year in manufacturer's staled container. Protect
from frost and direct sunlight.
Handling Precautions
UCOPLAST - WR is an industrial chemical and ingestion should be avoided. Any splashes to the
eyes washed
off with clean water and medical advice sought. |
