Description
UCOBOND-SBR is a modified polymer emulsion specially designed for use as a bonding agent to modify cement mortar/concrete. It is useful for repairing distressed R. C.
members and to modify mortars as waterproofing and flooring render.
UCOBOND-SBR is the recommended primer for the cementiitious repair system. UCOBOND-SBR provides excellent bond to concrete plaster and masonry, It is
compatible with all types of hydraulic cements UCOBOND-SBR improves tensile and
compressive strength which allows thin section application it is also used as curing membrane having 55% efficiency.
UCOBOND-SBR can also be used as an ad- mixture for grouts or concrete.

Method of use
For Structural Rehabilitation and Repair
Step-1
Clean the reinforcements with wire brush to remove loose scales.
Step-2
Apply Jet of water to remove loose particle, dust etc.
Step-3
Mix 1 part of 0.P. cement + 1 part of UCOBOND-SBR uniformly make paint consistency and apply on reinforcement and allow it to dry for 2-3 hours.
Step-4 Bond Coat
Make slurry with cement & SBR where SBR modified mortar is to be applied
Step-5
Polymer Modified Mortar
Mix cement 50KG + Zone II sand 150 KG + UCOBOND-SBR 10Ltr. + water 5 to 7 Ltr. Apply above mortar over bond coat.
Storage
UCOBOND-SBR has a shelf life of atleast 1 year if stored in unopened container out of direct
sunlight.
Handling Precautions
Avoid contact with skin and eyes wash off affected skin with soap and water; use gloves for
protection. |
